Fake Newspaper Slams Candidates on Both Sides of West New York Election

WEST NEW YORK — Masquerading as a legitimate newspaper, “Precinto 60,” a shoot-from-the-lip flier circulating in town has emerged as a particularly venomous political vehicle in the run-up to the commissioner elections in May.

The writer of the “Precinto 60” edition dated Feb. 22 accuses commissioner candidate and Mayor Sal Vega-antagonist, Dr. Felix Roque, of having mental problems, performing abortions, and being a defendant in a sexual harassment lawsuit.

In an edition before that, dated Feb. 12, the writer accuses Vega of being a drunk and attempting to eliminate the town’s Rent Control Board.
