Finally, Political Candidates Embrace Digital

The growth of online ad spending for political has been much slower than for other ad categories. These days online accounts for more than a third of total ad spending. But for political it still makes up less than 10 percent. But finally political is starting to get digitally savvy. Next year’s presidential election will mark the first time digital political spending hits $1 billion, according to a new forecast from ad tracking firm Borrell Associates.
