St. Louis-based integrated material handling solutions supplier FKI Ligistex now offers service and maintenance contracts for its high-level crane, automatic storage and retrieval installations. A contract allows an organization to fix its service and maintenance costs at a set annual amount while receiving full coverage for everyday and predictive maintenance, normal-use parts, and emergency breakdown repairs.
FKI Logistex tailors service and maintenance agreements to customer needs. For one customer with seven sites operating and another three planned, FKI said it dedicates regional technicians and an account manager to oversee all activities. Other clients opt for 24/7 availability of on-site representatives.
Technicians’ tools include maintenance-reporting software to apprise customers and account managers of service and maintenance activities. An FKI Logistex program can either provide full on-site stock replenishment of spare parts used for service, maintenance, and repairs, or it can pull parts from the St. Louis spares center, depending on the arrangement with the customer.
