The North American Sheetfed Division of Flint Group, Ann Arbor, Mich., now offers the K+E line of premium sheetfed inks.

Division Vice President and General Manager Doug Labertew said in a statement that availability of K+E inks “gives Flint Group customers a choice between a truly premium line and our standard ArrowStar product line.”

K+E makes inks at a large, automated plant in Stuttgart, Germany. BASF acquired K+E in 1970. When XSYS/Flint Group owners CVC Capital Partners bought BASF’s inks and plates businesses and Sweden’s ANI Printing Inks two years ago, it merged the latter with, and moved it into, K+E operations in Stuttgart (E&P Online, Sept. 30, 2004).
