“Slylock Fox and Comics for Kids” will return this Sunday to The Florida Times-Union of Jacksonville.

Times-Union Reader Advocate Wayne Ezell said a “surprisingly high” number of people phoned in recent weeks to say they missed the children’s feature, by Bob Weber Jr. of King Features Syndicate.

“Many of those who called about ‘Slylock’ described themselves as grandparents who enjoy solving [its] puzzles with their grandchildren,” noted Ezell.

“Slylock Fox” had been displaced by a full-page ad that started running on the back of the Jacksonville paper’s color comics a few weeks ago. Also displaced was “Barney Google and Snuffy Smith” (by John Rose of King), which is slated to return when the ad schedule changes later this month.
