Former Special Counsel to Bill Clinton Writing ‘Washington Times’ Column

The Washington Times announced today that Lanny J. Davis, special counsel to President Clinton between 1996-98, will write a political analysis column called “Purple Nation” every Monday.

Davis’ first piece is titled “Time for Bipartisanship Partisanship — Not An Oxymoron.”

The new Times columnist has previously written political analysis pieces for newspapers such as The New York Times, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the Los Angeles Times.

And Davis, who has been a guest on various TV programs, was recently signed as a Fox News Channel political analyst.

In 2006-07, Davis was appointed to serve on President Bush’s five-member Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board.
