New Technology, Politics Sections Introduced

Seeking to raise its profile, News Corp.’s FoxNews.com launched a redesigned site
with enhanced multimedia elements, including live Fox News Channel broadcasts.
The site aims to make extensive use of streaming audio and video.

A new politics section includes daily news, a daily poll, and an archive of
candidate videos. The new technology area includes material from CMP’s Tech Web
site. New authors are profiled three times a week in the new Bookmark section.

Fox has also partnered with TheStreet.com for financial news. FoxNews.com is
linked to the network’s Fox.com and FoxSports.com.

The revamped site is an effort by News Corp. to be a national news player online.
To date, Fox has not ranked among the most popular news sites on the Web, according
to audience measurement services.
