Fran Wills Named Senior VP/Interactive at ‘Dallas Morning News’

Fran Wills has been named senior vice president/interactive, The Dallas Morning News reported today. Additionally, Vic Savelli has been promoted to vice president of interactive sales, and Erik Johnson will become director of interactive strategy.

Wills previously worked as vice president/interactive and product development at the Denver Newspaper Agency, which publishes The Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News of Denver, Colo. Prior to this, she served as vice president of marketing for Zapotech.com, vice president of marketing for Gart Sports Company, and advertising director for May Department Stores located in the Denver area.

Savelli was previously the director of interactive sales for the Morning News, and oversaw a 60 percent revenue increase for DallasNews.com in 2005. He will continue to manage online sales efforts.

Johnson previously served as assistant director of marketing at the Morning News. His new position will have him report to Wills directly.
