Washington state suburban newspaper company Sound Publishing announced today it’s launching a free daily newspaper to serve the Kitsap Peninsula.
Starting June 20, the Free Daily will be distributed Monday through Friday to area homes, businesses, ferry terminals, and other locations on the Kitsap Peninsula.
The Free Daily will be produced as five zoned editions matching the names of Sound Publishing’s core newspapers in Kitsap county: Bainbridge Island Review, North Kitsap Herald, Central Kitsap Reporter, Bremerton Patriot, and Port Orchard Independent.
The tabloid will feature short articles and numerous photos, as well as copy from Reuters.
“A free daily newspaper is a natural extension of our brand and a way to appeal to different audiences, in addition to offering a variety of choices to the marketplace,” said Manfred Tempelmayr, president of Sound Publishing, in a statement.
