Free Press Editor Says Staff Layoffs Likely; No Number Given

The editor of the Detroit Free Press today warned his staff that newsroom layoffs are likely but didn’t provide any details.

Word of layoffs came from Editor Paul Anger when he announced this morning that Senior Managing Editor Jeffrey Taylor has left to become top editor at the Indianapolis Star, said staffers familiar with the situation.
