Flint Group Deputy Chairman Leonard D. Frescoln announced he will retire from the company at the end of next month, according to a report posted late Thursday at www.inkworldmagazine.com by Editor David Savastano.
Coming from the aerospace industry, Frescoln joined Flint Ink in 1992 as vice president and chief financial officer. After working with H. Howard Flint II and rising through the ranks, Frescoln was named Flint Ink president in 2002 and vice chairman and CEO in 2005.
Shortly after Howard Flint’s death that same year, CVC Capital Partners acquired Flint, after earlier acquiring BASF’s ink division and ANI Printing Inks. Frescoln was named CEO of Flint Group, which comprised the three businesses. Last year he was named the group’s deputy chairman.
Frescoln was an officer and director of the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers.
