On Tuesday the Financial Times is going to reveal a new re-design of its home pages. Most interesting is that the look will nod more in the direction of the print edition with a pink background and expanded masthead. It will be know as the Financial Times rather than FT.com.
The Financial Times is one of the few newspapers in this country that requires a subscription for access. The paper recently tweaked its introduction: people can now access 20 articles in a 30-day period for free before having to pony up. That’s down from 30 articles in 30-day period. After viewing four stories, a reader is required to register. So far, the Financial Times has more than 800,000 registered users.
