Glunz & Jensen K & F Inc., Granger, Ind., announced sales of its new Precision Edge bender and further sales of its ProVision Alliance in-line punch bender.
Aimed at mediium-circulation weeklies, dailies and “budget-conscious production managers,” the Precision Edge punch bender was bought by Los Angeles-based Korea Times and by California?s ANG Newspapers two weeks after its introduction. Installations are scheduled for December.
The Precision Edge can produce 290 plates per hours and work with multiple computer-to-plate engines.
The company also sold ProVision Alliance punch benders to The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, The Gazette, Montreal, and Jagran Prakashan Ltd., Kanpur, India, bringing the number of ProVision Alliance users to more than 35.
Glunz & Jensen K&F also said it appointed James Fino as regional sales manager for a territory reaching from West Virginia to Delaware and north to eastern Canada. Fino had been with Konica Minolta Corp. for seven years, most recently serving as business development manager. He also spent several years with Agfa Corp. and MacDermid Printing Solutions as a national accounts manager.
