Gannett Execs May Miss Bonuses

By: Todd Shields

About 80 top executives at Gannett Co. Inc. of McLean, Va., missed out on annual raises, and now they may find diminished yearly bonuses.

The cost-cutting move to withhold raises normally given in December is being followed by a review of bonuses normally granted in January and February, Gannett spokeswoman Tara Connell said.

Gannett, owner of 97 U.S. newspapers, has about 43,000 employees.
