Gannett Papers in Mississippi Go Live on AdBase

Gannett?s Mississippi dailies The Clarion-Ledger and The Hattiesburg American have completed installation of a 60-seat AdBase classified advertising order-entry system. The dailies, which purchased the complete software suite for advertising and pagination last fall, will use the system for the dailies and their online versions, as well as for non-daily products.

Mactive made headlines last month when it was acquired by industry veteran Atex. According to Atex, the acquisitions of both Mactive and Unisys Media were finalized in February. ?Atex is moving forward with refining its advertising and editorial product roadmaps, and is committed to supporting the current and emerging cross-media technology requirements of global publishers,? said a company spokesperson about the deals.
