George Bartman has been tapped as vice president, marketing and sales for the Audit Bureau of Circulations’ New York office. He succeeds Carie Beeman who is leaving ABC for personal reasons.
In his new role, Bartman will work with the board of directors and act as a liaison to ABC’s Magazine Buyers’ Advisory Committee.
Bartman worked for ABC and headed its New York office in 1996 eventually becoming vice president of sales. He left ABC in 2003 to serve as senior vice president, sales and marketing of Waiting Room Subscriptions Services.
“ABC is thrilled to welcome back George Bartman to its leadership team,” Mark Wachowicz, ABC senior vice president of marketing and sales, said in a statement. “His nearly 30 years of sales and marketing experience, coupled with the vast relationships he has built with leaders among all facets of ABC’s membership, will strengthen ABC’s strategic programs and increase new business opportunities in all areas.”
