The Brunswick News, one of the state’s last afternoon dailies, will become a morning newspaper starting Monday.
The News is making the switch to give its readers more opportunities to read each day’s print editions and also to turn to the paper’s Web site for updates to important stories, said C.H. Leavy IV, the newspaper’s president and editor.
“We’ve given a lot of consideration to this change and talked with a lot of people about it,” said Leavy, whose family owns The Brunswick News Publishing Co.
Founded in 1902, the newspaper was published in the morning during some of its early years, Leavy said.
Most of Georgia’s daily newspapers are delivered in the morning.
