The New York Daily News is adding more than 100,000 photos dating back to as early as the paper’s founding in 1919 to the present to Getty Images’ archives. The images are available for editorial and commercial licensing via Getty.
“Getty Images’ market position, customer relationships and leadership in the digital space makes them the ideal distribution partner,” Marc Kramer, CEO of the Daily News, said in statement. “This partnership enables us to share our unique collection to the broadest possible audience, while benefiting from being alongside the world’s best archival imagery collections.”
Getty Images’ archive has more than 80 million images from contributors like Time & Life Pictures.
