Color management and proofing solutions developer GMG GmbH & Co. KG, Tuebingen, Germany, has introduced GMG NewsProof 76 for quality contract proofs.
The 76-gram, matte-coated inkjet proof medium with white point typical of newspapers corresponds to standard newsprint, giving the visual impression of a newspaper.
According to GMG, tolerances are tighter than those of other current newspaper proofing media, improving reliability and color consistency of proofing results.
GMG NewsProof 76 does not warp and has a high ink limit that makes it less subject to overinking, matting, bleeding and fading. It also has a more homogeneous surface and print result than other newspaper proofing papers, has a good opacity, and can be used on all common inkjet printers, according to the company.
NewsProof 76 replaces GMG NewsPaper 57 and NewsPaper 80 media. GMG supplies profiles matched to printer, paper and printing process.
