To support sales growth in the newspaper printing market, Southern Lithoplate Inc. in Wake Forest, N.C., has appointed Gil Green as Western strategic accounts manager, with responsibility for working with established newspaper accounts and prospective clients.
Green joins Southern Lithoplate more than 32 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, including 23 years in sales of hardware and consumables to commercial printers and newspapers. In his previous positions, Green was credited with improving customer relations and cultivating sales opportunities.
Calling Green “a perfect fit,” News Sales Director Michael Phillips said in a statement, “he has a proven record of introducing focused solutions that increase productivity and profitability in prepress workflow, computer-to-plate systems, processing solutions and lithoplates.”
Based in Quartz Hill, Calif., Green reports to Phillips.
Most recently, Green spent seven years with Konica Minolta Graphic Imaging U.S.A., where he sold computer-to-film recorders, CTP devices and consumables. Before that, he served in positions as West Coast sales representative for ECRM Imaging Systems and systems sales manager for Polychrome.
