Of 29 sites going live in October with software from MediaSpan’s Harris & Baseview division, based in Ann Arbor, Mich., The Watertown (N.Y.) Daily Times installed 66 NewsEditPro IQue workstations, all running on Windows PCs.

Other components of the Daily Times’ IQue editorial system include 14 pagination stations with DragX and QTools Quark XTensions; PhotoBridge plug-in on six workstations, so editors can easily access images with Adobe PhotoShop; Transporter; WireManager IQue; and IQueWeb, allowing for secure, online access to the IQue database from anywhere with an Internet connection.

In addition to The Town Talk, Gannett’s 34,040-circulation daily in Alexandria, La., which installed a Jazbox publishing system, sites going live with Harris & Baseview editorial systems last month also include: Oklahoma’s Examiner-Enterprise in Bartlesville and Pawhuska Journal-Capital; Texas’ Three Rivers Progress, Beeville Bee-Picayune and Refugio County Press; The Burlington (Vt.) Free Press; The Frederick (Md.) News-Post; Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch; The Daily Herald in Provo, Utah; Voices in Woodbury, Conn.; Cape Breton Post in Sydney, Nova Scotia; and, in Platteville, Wisc., the University of Wisconsin’s Exponent.

Bartlesville, Beeville and Pawhuska also began using Harris & Baseview ad systems, as did the Ada (Okla.) Evening News, the Bluefield (W.Va.) Daily Telegraph, the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colo., The Union-Recorder in Milledgeville, Ga., the Morris (Ill.) Daily Herald, the Creston (Iowa) News Advertiser, The Ridgway (Pa.) Record, the Valley Roadrunner in Valley Center, Calif., Open Road in Sydney, Australia, and Used Car News in St. Clair Shores, Mich.

Used Car News also now uses Harris & Baseview’s circulation system, as do the Bowling Green, Ky., Daily News, the Galt (Calif.) Herald, and the Provincetown (Mass.) Banner

The Hawk Eye in Burlington, Iowa, BITS Web-hosting services, and The Valley Breeze in Cumberland, R.I., have begun using Harris & Baseview production software.
