The dancing cockatoo who created a sensation last year on YouTube can really dance, according to a “Birds That Boogie” story being distributed by the New York Times Syndicate.

Researchers at The Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla, Calif., also found that rhythmic music of the kind inspiring Snowball to dance may also help people suffering from diseases such as Parkinson’s.

Philip Ball’s 750-word article comes with art and a video of the cockatoo stomping his feet to the beat.
