An anthrax scare shut down the office of an Indianapolis newspaper and forced some employees into quarantine.

Hazmat crews were called to The Indianapolis Star after two employees handled mail that claimed to contain anthrax.

Investigators said the package did not pose a hazard but it was taken to a lab for further testing.

They said the package looked similiar to the one sent to other media outlets in recent days, including the Dayton Daily News. All have been hoaxes.

A California man was arrested last week on suspicion that he mailed more than 120 such packages around the country.
