Columbia Journalism Review, born 1961, is leaning on a class of college students to help it prepare for the digital future.

This semester, C.J.R. editor Liz Spayd is teaching a weekly class at Columbia University’s journalism school called “The Remaking of a Magazine.” (Her adjuncts are Reyhan Harmanci, the soon-to-be editor of Atlas Obscura, and Videolicious’ Alan Haburchak.)
