I started the year with a problem: small news organizations don’t have enough time to keep their digital publishing and ad sales practices up to date. This is how I started to develop a solution.
At the end of January 2015, I began the Tow-Knight Entrepreneurial Journalism fellowship with the idea of working with small newsrooms. I was working with the cohort of 21 Tow-Knight fellows, a few small publishers, and, from the Tow-Knight Center, Jeff Jarvis and Jeremy Caplan.
