The Star Tribune is about to close the doors on its nearly 100-year-old building, a physical transition and a psychological shift for Minnesota’s largest media company.

All the Star Tribune’s employees except its news staff will leave the limestone-and-granite building at 425 Portland Av. S. for the last time Friday afternoon. On Monday, they will return to work in new space at 650 3rd Av. S. in the Capella Tower complex.
