Homeless Newspaper Hawkers Prove Successful

Sales of street papers, the ones homeless vendors buy and resell on street corners, have increased 10%, worldwide, 36% in North America alone, according to recently released data. The International Network of Street Papers, announced that combined sales of it’s 115 publications in 40 countries has reached 1.51 million, up from 1.37 million in September 2009 for an increase of 10.2%. Douglas McCabe, press and online analyst with Enders Analysis, said the success is due in part to “the intimacy of their distribution.”Read more information from the INSP website
