HONOLULU WEB DIARIST IAN LIND OUT OF WORK

By: Joel Davis

Thanks To the ‘Journal That Ate My Job’

Honolulu Star-Bulletin investigative reporter Ian Lind, who has
frankly chronicled the paper’s topsy-turvy plight on his personal Web
site (http://www.ilind.net), has been informed by the paper’s new owner, Canadian David Black’s Oahu Publications, that he has “not been selected for hire.”

Lind hints that his outspoken Internet diary may have cost him a
position with the Star-Bulletin, which Black takes over from
Liberty Newspapers March 15: “Welcome to the journal that ate my job,”
Lind says in his latest online diary entry. “At least the wait is over.”
