Idaho Falls ‘Post Register’ Names Interim City Editor

Matt Evans, a veteran reporter and editor at the Idaho Falls Post Register, has been named interim city editor.

Evans, 38, was named to the position this week. He takes over for Kortny Rolston, who is leaving after 10 years to work for the Idaho National Laboratory’s Center for Advanced Energy Studies.

Evans joined the Post Register in 2000. Previously, he worked for the Millington Star in Memphis, Tenn., where he covered professional auto racing and community news.

He left the Post Register in 2003 to work for the Ogden Standard Journal in Ogden, Utah, where he covered the Utah Legislature and county news.

He returned to the Post Register in 2004 and served as night city editor.
