The International Herald Tribune of Paris said Thursday that its Web site has recorded an average of one million unique visitors a month for the past seven months — an 80% increase over a year ago. Page views for the same period are 9 million per month.
The newspaper, owned by The New York Times Co., attributed the growth to the introduction of new features and more frequent updates at IHT.com.
Advertising revenues at the site rose 72% during the first nine months of 2003, compared with the year-ago period.
The New York Times and IHT offer a joint global advertising buy in print and online.
