The Job Network and Yahoo’s HotJobs formed an alliance. Under the agreement, members of the Job Network, owned by TownNews.com, Redmatch North America, and PAGE Cooperative, can post employment ads to HotJobs.
Job Network members will able to retain their network with other member newspapers.
“We believe this agreement will help the nation’s community newspaper protect and enhance their leadership role in recruitment/employment advertising,” Marc Wilson, president of the Job Network, said in a statement.
TownNews, which is 83% owned by Lee Enterprises, provides Internet services to more than 1,400 small and mid-sized newspapers. Redmatch is a recruitment technology company and Page Cooperative members include 560 daily newspapers.
