Kansas Weekly Sold to Longtime Employees

Don and Sherill Goering have sold the weekly Hugoton (Kansas) Hermes to long-time employees RoGlenda Coulter, Kay McDanials, and Ruthie Winget, brokerage firm Rickenbacher Media announced Thursday.

The Goerings had owned the 2,200 paid-circulation Hermes, the only newspaper in Stephens County, since 1979.

The new owners will operate as Faith Publishing LLC.

Dallas-based Rickenbacher represented the sellers in the transaction.
