KBA to Relocate to Dallas Next Summer

KBA North America, the sales and service subsidiary of Germany press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer AG, has announced it will relocate its headquarters next summer from Wiliston, Vt., to Dallas, where it has operated a parts and service center since last year.

KBA said the move will put its sheetfed and web divisions “under one roof along with the sales, service and parts departments as well as the corporate demonstration center.” The company made essentially the same announcement in October of 2006, when it said it would transfer its web press sales, service and parts activities from York, Pa., to the northwestern Vermont location of its sheetfed division.

At that time, KBA said web and sheetfed customers would benefit from “additional qualified service personnel throughout North America.” KBA has occupied the Wiliston headquarters for more than 20 years. “But with our continued growth in all market segments, it is the ideal time for us to move to a more central location to better serve our North American customers, KBA North America president and CEO Holger Garbrecht said in a statement.

The company said it will retain its Florida, Minnesota, Montreal and Toronto offices.
