“Travels With Lonely Planet” will be launched the week of March 6 by King Features Syndicate.
King is partnering with travel publisher Lonely Planet and travel writer and editor Don George on the weekly feature, which will be edited and co-written by George.
The award-winning George was travel editor of the San Francisco Examiner for nine years before founding and editing Salon.com’s “Wanderlust” travel site. He has visited more than 60 countries and published more than 600 articles in newspapers and magazines. In addition, he writes the “What Would Don George Do?” travel-advice column for LonelyPlanet.com, and he commissions, edits, and write books for the company’s travel-literature series.
