Knight Ridder Digital of San Jose, Calif., has announced a partnership with Digital Education Technologies Corp. of Los Angeles, which will provide a new cobranded education channel on the Real Cities network.
Digital Education will provide education content, including online courses for professionals, students, and children. The site will charge for these courses. Career advice and distance-learning news will also be available in the channel.
Knight Ridder will promote the new service with online ads in the Real Cities network, which includes newspaper Web sites from the Knight Ridder chain and several partners such as Belo, E.W. Scripps, and Gannett. Promotional ads will also appear in some Knight Ridder newspapers.
