Knoxville Paper Uses IPIX For Classified Photos


Internet Pictures Corp. (iPIX) of San Ramon, Calif., and Oak Ridge, Tenn., announced this week that The Knoxville (Tenn.) News-Sentinel is using the iPIX Rimfire system for classified advertising images.

The technology allows classified advertisers to add digital photos to their ads for $5 per photo. News-Sentinel Publisher Bruce Hartmann said the newspaper expects classifieds with photos will result in faster sales than those without.

The News-Sentinel is the first E.W. Scripps paper to use the technology, according to iPIX.
