Kristof Wins Michael Kelly Award

Nicholas Kristof has won this year’s $25,000 Michael Kelly Award for his New York Times columns denouncing genocide in Sudan and sexual exploitation in Cambodia, according to Atlantic Media Company.

Kelly, a columnist for the Washington Post Writers Group, was killed while covering the Iraq War in 2003. During his career, Kelly was also the editor of two Atlantic Media publications: The Atlantic Monthly and National Journal.

Kristof’s column is distributed nationally via the New York Times News Service.
