The Los Angeles Times Media Group’s Hoy Fin de Semana, the Spanish-language product delivered free on Saturdays in Hispanic-dominant ZIP codes, will increase its distribution to 700,000 from 500,000 beginning Oct. 2.
Hoy Fin de Semana is also expanding its editorial, with more sports, entertainment and health news, said Hoy Los Angeles Publisher and General Manager Roaldo Moran.
“Hoy Fin de Semana delivers the engaging content our readers crave and provides advertisers with the largest and most complete reach in the number one Hispanic market in the country,” Moran said in a statement. “Our investment in Hoy ensures we will continue to deepen our penetration into this vital and robust audience.”
Hoy also publishes a weekly newspaper distributed free through newsracks on Fridays. It has a distribution of 145,000 copies.
