La Opini&243;n, the nation’s largest Spanish-language daily, hopes to enter Guinness Book of World Records with the creation of the world’s biggest taco at 6 p.m. today in Huntington Park, Calif.
La Opini&243;n is sponsoring the record-shattering taco will be created as apart of the opening-day festivities for the “Sabor de Mexico Lindo — Downtown Festival” that runs through Sunday.
Fittingly, Mexico currently holds the record for the biggest taco at 35 feet long.
Officials of the Guinness Book of World Records will be on hand Friday to authenticate the new record, La Opini&243;n said.
The landmark taco was prepared by Margarita Jones Restaurants, Bonanza Food and Provisions, Westwing Insurance, Diana’s, and the Downtown Huntington Park Business Improvement District.
