In an unusual partnership, La Opini?n of Los Angeles is joining the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) and Staples Inc., the office-supplies retailer, to offer Spanish-language classes in basic business management for small companies.
The seminars, titled Exito Empresarial: Seminarios de Administraci?n de Empresas (Business Success: Business Management Seminars), are “a hands-on extension” of the daily’s semiweekly “Negocio” (Business) section, said La Opini?n President and Chief Operating Officer M?nica Lozano. “It’s a synergistic partnership. The SBA contributes its small business acumen, Staples provides the sponsorship, and La Opini?n and ‘Negocios’ is the link to our Hispanic business communities and to budding Hispanic entrepreneurs.”
