Lawsuit: Triplets Were Not Ready for Their Close-Up in Chicago Newspapers

By: E&P Staff

The parents of triplets have filed a lawsuit against the Chicago Tribune, the parent company of the Chicago Sun-Times and the city’s ABC television affiliate, alleging their newsborns last February were photographed, videotaped and written about without their permission.

Bryan and Cynthia Lindgren also sued Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill., saying the reports on the triplets included “highly private, health-related details,” according to an unbylined  story in the Chicago Tribune.

There was media interest at the time because the Lindgren triplets were delivered within days of three other sets of triplets at the hospital.
