Company To Focus On Newspapers, Online Services

Lee Enterprises of Davenport, Iowa, said Thursday it will sell
KMAZ-TV in El Paso, Texas, to Council Tree Hispanic Broadcasters
LLC of Longmont, Colo.

The station is the last of Lee’s television broadcasting
properties. The company announced last year that it would sell
its TV operations to focus on newspapers and related online
services. Lee sold 15 stations for $563 million to Emmis
Communications Corp. in October.
