Lee Stock Crosses Into Penny-Stock Territory Before Rising Above $1 Per Share

Shares of Lee Enterprises sank below $1 a share in New York Stock Exchange trading Tuesday on a big sell-off two hours before the closing bell.

Lee (NYSE: LEE) ended the day at $1.05 a share, down 15 cents, or 12.5%, from the opening.

Just before 2 p.m. EST, a trade of 312,300 shares at $1.01 a share sent the stock sinking. It fell as low as 86 cents a share.
