The Law Bulletin Publishing Co., serving Chicago’s and the Midwest’s legal, real estate and financial communities since 1854, will install a digital and print advertising and ad-tracking system from Miles 33, Norwalk, Conn., and Berkshire, England.
In addition, for the Bulletin and other products with editorial content, Miles will integrate its ad layout with the Tera editorial and Web CMS installed in 2009. Tera systems became Miles 33 products when the company acquired Tera in July 2010.
The new ad system is expected to bring the company’s Websites, daily newspaper and several niche publications “together under a unified system for digital and print ad sales, ad tracking, edition planning and billing,” Product Planning and Technology Vice President Fred Faulkner said in a statement.
The company will deploy Miles 33 technologies across five areas. For the printed Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, its Websites, Chicago Lawyer magazine and other legal products, the system will support all digital and print retail and classified sections, including the Service Mart, Expert Witness, and Lawyer to Lawyer customized classified sections.
Other areas to use the system are the real estate directories and magazines, which will transition all retail sales, pagination and layout to the new system, including the new “customer portal” for electronic proofing of retail ads; the quarterly Leading Lawyers Network Magazines; the two-volume Sullivan’s Directory and its Website; and products offered by other groups within the company, such as a Resume Center Website, trade conferences, and ancillary products.
