Three “Zippy the Pinhead” comics will be part of an exhibit called “Living the American Dream: Levittown and the Suburban Boom,” according to Newsday of Melville, N.Y.

The show runs from Feb. 10 to July 8 at the Long Island Museum of American Art, History & Carriages in Stony Brook, N.Y. It marks the 60th anniversary of the Long Island suburb of Levittown, which was designed to provide families with inexpensive, mass-produced starter homes — as long as the families were white.

“Zippy the Pinhead” cartoonist Bill Griffith grew up in Levittown, and was not a fan of its “uniformity or conformity,” notes Newsday.

Griffith’s comic is syndicated by King Features.
