Linotype Operator William Hottinger Dies at 93

William D. Hottinger, a long-retired Linotype operator for the Jewish Daily Forward, died July 27 in Livingston, N.J. He was 93.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II who earlier lived in Staten Island for more than 50 years, Hottinger worked for the Forward in New York City for 20 years, according to an obituary in New Jersey’s Star-Ledger.
