Four newspaper creators will be among six inductees into the Oklahoma Cartoonists Hall of Fame this Saturday.

They include Dick Locher, the Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and “Dick Tracy” writer/artist syndicated by Tribune Media Services; late “Dick Tracy” creator Chester Gould, whose comic turned 75 on Oct. 4; late editorial cartoonist Bill Mauldin, a two-time Pulitzer winner; and late Tulsa World editorial cartoonist Clarence Allen.

The induction — mentioned on DailyCartoonist.com — will help mark the one-year anniversary of the Toy and Action Figure Museum in Pauls Valley, Okla.

Among the scheduled attendees at this Saturday’s event will be “Alley Oop” cartoonists Jack and Carole Bender of United Media.
