The Union of Concerned Scientists is holding its second annual “Science Idol: the Scientific Integrity Editorial Cartoon Contest,” which focuses on the problem of political interference with science.
Among the things the grand prize winner will receive is an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to tour the UCS offices and lunch with editorial cartoonist Tom Toles of The Washington Post and Unversal Press Syndicate, according to the ComicsDC blog.
Contest judges include Toles, “Doonesbury” cartoonist Garry Trudeau of Universal, “Speed Bump” cartoonist Dave Coverly of Creators Syndicate, and last year’s winner James McLeod.
Entries are due by May 22. For more contest information, click here.
