MaineToday Media Inc. hired Tim Archambault as vice president of new media and digital operations to help the company’s transformation into a multi-platform information organization.
MaineToday Media publishes The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, Kennebec Journal in Augusta, Morning Sentinel in Waterville, the weekly Coastal Journal in Bath and their affiliated Websites.
Announcing several appointments late last week, CEO Richard Connor cited Archambault’s experience in online publishing, most recently as director of new media innovation and technology for Lee Enterprises’ Utah-based subsidiary, Herald Communications. Archambault led digital media efforts for a daily, 10 weeklies, an on-demand television station, cable television station and their Websites.
He earlier was online manager for the Bangor Daily News from 1997 to 2008. Archambault was born in Lewiston, grew up in Brewer, holds degrees from the University of Maine, and lives in Holden.
At MaineToday Media, he will work closely with the advertising, news and information technology departments to develop products and partnerships that will drive readers, revenue and market opportunities to company Websites, Connor said.
