JTA, the international Jewish news service, has redesigned its Web site.
The site — which gets about 250,000 unique visitors a month from more than 100 countries — now offers blogs and multimedia content as well as a search engine that allows for easier site navigation.
“In today’s media environment, a Web site needs to do more than just provide the latest news,” said Mark J. Joffe, JTA’s executive editor and publisher.
The revamped JTA.org site includes blogs written by JTA staffers and outside experts (on topics ranging from the Middle East to Jewish pop culture to inside-the-Beltway items), podcasts with JTA correspondents discussing issues in the news, galleries of images from JTA’s photo service, resource lists, event calendars, links to related content from across the Web, reader feedback on JTA news articles, video clips from Israeli media partners, e-mail newsletters, and more.
JTA was the subject of an E&P Online feature story posted last Oct. 20.
